Bio
Emrah Yücel is the Founder and Creative Director of I MEAN IT CREATIVE, a Los Angeles–based branding and advertising agency. For more than 20 years, he has brought global expertise, strategic thinking, and best-in-class creative ideas to help projects, brands, companies, cities, and countries build distinctive identities and stand out on the global stage.
Through I MEAN IT CREATIVE, Yücel has led corporate branding and communication projects for clients including Carlsberg Group, Türkiye İş Bankası, and Palmolive, alongside an extensive portfolio in city, destination, and country branding. His work in this field includes Turkish Tourism, Qatar, the Kenya Trade Zone, Aina Le‘a on Hawaii’s Big Island, and numerous other destination and city branding initiatives.
Yücel has also created marketing and advertising campaigns for many of the world’s leading entertainment studios, networks, and streaming platforms, including FOX, Sony, HBO, FX, Netflix, and Prime Video. Over the course of his career, he has contributed to the marketing of acclaimed film and television projects including Avatar, The Chronicles of Narnia, Kill Bill, Frida, The Sopranos, American Horror Story, and The Americans.
Alongside his work in branding and advertising, Yücel develops film projects of his own, with 40 marking his first credit as a producer. His jury experience includes the 2007 Antalya International Film Festival and the 2008 Lucie Awards, which honor excellence in international photography.
His work has been recognized by the Key Art Awards, PromaxBDA Awards, the Webby Awards, and the Sunset Billboard Awards. In 2009, Yücel and his team were named Designer of the Year by the International Design Awards. His work for Turkish tourism was also recognized by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) for excellence in country advertising in Europe.
